Styrofoam Buoyancy Billets For Construction of Floating Docks, Decks and Barges. Easily Fabricated!
Styrofoam® Buoyancy Foam is an extruded polystyrene insulation. STYROFOAM® is noted for it's water repellency, high compressive strength, and superior insulation value. STYROFOAM® extruded polystyrene insulation is typically used in building construction. Buoyancy billets are commonly used for floating structures such as docks, rafts, and boathouses. Buoyancy billets are made from Styrofoam® consisting of millions of tiny closed-cell air bubbles leading to extreme buoyancy. It also means that a buoyancy billet cannot become punctured or water-logged.
Styrofoam® Buoyancy Billets are lightweight and easy to install, so structures can be built quickly and efficiently. Buoyancy Billets are durable. It takes only one cubic foot of Styrofoam® brand buoyancy billets to float 55 pounds. Each Billet floats 220lbs. Buoyancy Billets do not break down like wood and will not become water logged. We carry Buoyancy foam in 7 in. Thick x 20 in. x 48 in. (length tolerance – ± 1/4 in.)
